My friend and I were on the phone this morning, and we were talking about this ideation of being "successful". She said she doesn't feel, that she is "successful" in her life because she mostly stayed home while her DH worked, to raise their 3 kids. She worked periodically part time, but she said she never was able to fully focus on a career like she had hoped she would coming out of college. I told her, that she IS successful because her kids are all grown now and really great people! They have nice families, great jobs, purchased their own homes, and she has the MOST adorable grandbaby. I told her, we can feel successful in different ways.
So I got to thinking......how do you define successful? Do you define it by a career, a family, a home, cars, wealth etc. Is it different things, to different people?
