what about bar soap. would you wash that off first too?

We've had that discussion and yes, some posters wash bar soap then dry it off with toilet paper.

Wouldn't it be easier to buy liquid soap?

lol

If I have to wash and dry bar soap, I would seriously re-consider my sanity.

Well then I guess we should stop rinsing off our Thanksgiving turkeys inside and out and patting them dry (like most recipes tell us to do) before seasoning them and cooking them?

That would just seem weird.

Yep!...........I don't like my bar soap to sit there, soggy. So I pat it dry before I leave the bathroom. Liquid soaps are irritating, especially for baths, so I use certain bar soaps that don't irritate. Love Yardley's English Lavender, Pearl Jasmine. Also, Ivory bar soap. I don't have to be as careful showering, as long as I use Ivory bar soap on more delicate areas.

I use a sheet or two of waxed paper on the counter during the rinsing of chicken/turkey. The meat has never-ever touched my counters. Just a habit.

Fun thread, but no, don't wash out toothbrushes either. Chicken, yes, but now I won't. LOL

I use liquid Dove in the shower, but use the bar when washing my hands at the sink. I simply keep the box right there and when I'm done I slip the wet soap into the box. It dries inside the box, and there is no slop.

Honestly, it never occurred to me. I guess the brush gets its first cleaning when I first use it!!

Re: How do you Clean a Brand-New Toothbrush?

Every two weeks or so I microwave water it till it boils and then dunk in some antibacterial mouthwash. My toilet is in a separate room alone with the bathtub and the sink in another room so I don't worry about that whole thing about flushing toilets and droplets getting in the air. I'm high maintenance about germs back from the days of chemo - the oncologist drilled hand washing and practicing extra hygiene due to my suppressed immune system.
