I was just reading a thread about Jane and a painful handshake.
I was at a wedding a few days ago and the father of the bride gave me a handshake that brought tears to my eyes. He squeezed so hard that he pressed my ring into the bones of my fingers.
For people who are arthritic or those who have sensitive fingers, how do you get around shaking hands with people? You don't want to appear rude, but then again, you don't want broken bones either.
