Re: How do feel about pets being part of a wedding ?

I love the idea, but hopefully in a carpeted church, the dogs are well trained, potty wise. That, or wear doggy diaper pants, made to look like a tux. . . . just to make sure........

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

As long as the dog doesn't snatch my slice of wedding cake or lick my face or get drunk, I 'm OK with it.

I had a date that did that. Once.

When Mr. & Mrs. Brady were married in their backyard back in the 60's, their dog Tiger was there! Ha! That's what I think of when I read this thread... {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Whatever works for them is fine with me. I personally wouldn't do it because my dog would lift a leg on every chair.

This trend has been around for years. It doesn't bother me, in fact, I think it really shows how much the bride and groom regard their pets as a real part of the family.

Yes. I forget why. He was smashed at the time. It was disgusting to say the least! And he did eat my piece of cake, too!

We were married on the beach. The priest who did the deed brought his dog Socrates. When we were pronounced man and wife Socrates started jumping up and down and barking. It was sweet. Of course we were paying attention to the marrying part and didn't realize that a group of people were watching us a ways down the beach. Ceremony over, Socrates jumping and barking and the group of people clapping and cheering. It was great!
