@dooBdoo Yes, two spaces between my two-word name. It's a long, long story; but the Reader's Digest version is that I had one space between the words and loved it that way. Then a poster who is no longer on the forum suggested I change it to all one word....WorldTraveler....in order to make it easier for them to add me to their list of names for notification of specials. I did that and was immediately sorry I did.
So I tried to go back to my original two-word name with one space and it said it was taken. Contacted the moderators and they tried to make it work the way I originally had it, and they couldn't. Thus, the only solution was to put TWO spaces between the two words. That's just as bad as one space between the two words for notification purposes, but at least it is not one word, which I really didn't like and regretted doing it for someone else's sake. ![]()

I'm so sorry that happened. You're so kind and thoughtful. If I were your IT support person, I'd fix the name for you. We're pretty helpless here, subject to the ever-changing software problems on the website. (((hugs)))

@dooBdoo Just an FYI.......I got your notification for your most recent post to me, even though it doesn't look like it would work because it is not highlighted nor underlined. Go figure! ha!

That's because I changed the font size and color so it looks like the rest of the post. If you hover the cursor over an "@nickname" to see if it's a hyperlink or click/tap on it to go to the poster's profile, that's the test to see if it worked as a notification alert. If it's plain text, nothing happens.

@World Traveler Now I understand why I'm unable to type in your name and have it highlighted/underlined when responding (like now). Always wondered about that when "talking" to you. Even responding on this thread, I don't believe the programming is working with your nic.

Are you using the default font size? If you are not then that is the reason why the names of the posters you address are not highlighted or underlined. @BirkiLady

@SilleeMeeUsing the default type. Only happens when responding to @World Traveler. The programming just picked her nik up, but dropped her. Does it every time. Now I realize it must be due to the two spaces within her name! She explained it in her post upthread.

Oh, I see now. Too bad it turned out that way. @BirkiLady
