We met on my commuter bus - he was the bus driver (and still is). I didn't catch his bus every night, but my friends and I would sit up front and chat with him. They kept teasing me that he liked me, but I wasn't so sure. One night after getting off the bus and walking down the street, I fell. He stopped the bus, got out and asked me if I wanted an ambulance. I was fine, but so embarrassed. He asked for my number a few days later. He loves telling people how I "fell for him". Our first date was the beginning of September 2001. If he hadn't asked me out when he did, we wouldn't be together now. We live in NYC and I worked across from the World Trade Center. After the 9/11 attacks, my job was relocated to midtown Manhattan and his bus route was changed since there were street closures near Ground Zero, so I didn't catch his bus again. Guess we were just meant to be.
