Re: How can I kill no see 'ems if I can't see 'em??

I hate these no see-ums so much!

They just fly in front of my face and anywhere. I hate them as much as the unmentionable larger awful things!

They seem to be attracted to water and light. Well, maybe anything.

I've seen larger flea like things that do seem to bite.

Another not nice thing about summer.

Even tho "everything is bigger in Texas", you still can't see no see 'ems.  Off Bug Spray.  If you don't care for that, I think dryer sheets are supposed to be a bug biting deterrent.  You can Google home remedies for flying biting  bugs.  Personally, I just stay in the house till it's cool enough that there are no pesky pests.

@Desertdi

I don't venture out much this time of year but the few times I have sat on the patio, I haven't had a bite.  DH said he has noticed fewer biting insects too.  I recently did find a HUGE GINORMOUS ant (an ant on steroids) crawling onto the patio.  I took a picture of it and sent it to my grandson to ask him if it looked like it could kill me.  He said yes, kill it before it kills you.  I did.

Buy Zevo bug traps for that area and inside your house.  I rarely ever see a gnat in my house, but my bug traps are covered with flying insects!

We live in the country.  I have found nothing keeps bugs out of my house better than this.  If something does slip in (rarely) it's a black beetle-type bug and they are found dead by the back door.  Yes, I know it has chemicals.  I spray it around the front and back doors and the perimeter of the patio.  Of course this isn't for no-see-ums.  I'm going spray it right now since my internet speed is a problem right now.

@goldensrbest  I 100% agree with using Zevo.  I have several of those lights in my house they work so well!!  I have the spray for outside around doors, sliders and the garage.

You know what I hate most of all?  JUNE BUGS!  My hair is a magnet for them.  I know, they can't hurt you but they DO make you slap yourself in face and on the head Smiley Surprised  Plus, my evil grandchildren used to throw them at me or tell me one was in my hair when it really wasn't.

@monicakm,

Oh yeah, they are kind of sticky!

I wouldn't mind them if they didn't fly and buzz erratically around!

I get no-see-ums in and outside the house in summer!Woman Frustrated

We have Zevo traps in the bedrooms and camper and we have an indoor Dyna Trap on the kitchen counter. They all work well.
