Some thoughts:

1. Take my family on a vacation

2. Buy a new car

3. Put it toward a master bedroom suite construction:

Knock the back wall out of my bedroom to add more space for a large bath and walk in closet

I think the federal gift tax is 30 or 35%, so I'd be lucky to have $21 K. I'd pay off my house and save the rest.

I would most definitely give it to my family in even shares and keep nothing for myself.

I'd invest it so I could use the money I hopefully make on my kids college.

I live in a very old house & drive a very old car. It's a toss-up which will breakdown first!

So after taxes, it will go into my emergency fund. Then I wait.

I'd just been ignoring it but after reading this, I decided to enter. It took me about 10 seconds. Not many days left but I'll try to do it the rest of the month.

I have no idea what I'd do. Maybe use some to replace one car that is 12 years old but it still gets DH where he needs to go so maybe not.

We don't owe on anything or have kids with college coming up so maybe put it in the bank and use it for travel. I'd send a chunk to my sister first.

I've never been particularly in love with our house. It was the best decision at the time as we wanted to keep our daughter in her same high school, with her friends.

Almost 19 years later, and some personal health issues, we are still here. The one thing that would make me so happy would be to have a small sunroom built in the back of our house. It would be the perfect place to enjoy the woods and stay out of the sun and away from the bugs lol.
