How To Clean Sneakers?

I have always bought leather sneakers, but recently got some Rykas that are leather and mesh. Now I am wondering if that was a mistake. Will the mesh snag easily? Is it hard to keep clean?

I would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks in advance.
