How Reliable Are BBB Listings?

I'm researching moving companies and there are a few listed on the BBB website. Can I trust these listings? Anyone know more about what it takes to get BBB listing? The one I'm considering has an A+ listing.

They've been spot on about companies we looked up.No idea about how it works though.

Local businesses are the members and pay dues, not the public. What do you think? I use Angie's List for reliable help and have never had a bad experience.

You pay to be on their list, and as I experienced first hand, they'll close a case even when things aren't settled. I never bother with them.
