Is nothing private between couples anymore?
Got a Facebook message (not posted on my public page, but as a private message in my FB inbox) from a male classmate from HS (we're 58, just had our 40th reunion 2 wks ago).
Anyway, it says something like 'Please read' and has a link. I open the link, and it's a CHEATING SPOUSE website. Obviously my former classmate's wife got into his FB account, read his messages to/from his co-worker that he's 'affair-ing' with, and then created an entire page, complete with current photos of herself, her dh and his girlfriend. She cut/pasted the entire FB messages (love notes), etc.
I found out she actually spent the time to send a private message like I got to every one of his FB "friends", plus of course plastering all the details, the link to the cheating spouse website, etc. on her own FB page.
And of course, immediately there are dozens of "Atta girl, really soak him in divorce court", etc. replies. My first thought: Why would you choose to hang your family's dirty laundry on such a public line, knowing your kids/grands will be crushed enough if/when you divorce, let alone having everyone see this online?
Back to my question: If you'd been married for 35 yrs, and had 6 kids, 20 grandkids, etc. who are all FB users, would you have done this?
