Re: How Much Do You Use Your Cell?

I use my cell phone rarely. I use it to make personal calls for appointments, etc while at work. I abhor chatting on the phone (always have), screen my land line & have disabled cell messaging & texting. I use an iPod Touch to read my email away from home, read on the Kindle app, and to play games if I have a wait somewhere or if I am unaccompanied on the lunch break. Best of all, my monthly cell phone bill is grandfathered in from 25  years ago when Verizon was Air Touch Cellular and is obscenely low.

I made a call today,  first in about 2 months.   I occasionally watch the local evening news.   That's it.

I have a basic Tracfone, not a Smart Phone.  I keep it in my purse in case of an emergency.  Costs $20 every 3 months to add minutes and keep it activated.  Works for me.

Me too, Cat. I pay about $15 monthly for my unbundled cell phone usage. If cell phone use is indeed found to cause brain cancer, then I'm in the clear. Looks like you are too, my dear.

I have so many useful apps on my phone.

Plus, I text, email, and talk on it.   I use it at night instead of a clock.   Lol

There isn't much I do without it.  It's always on me because I keep track of how many steps I take each day with it anyway

I'm using it to post right now, actually

@Bri21   What apps do you find useful?   Heard about one yesterday where you can track your teens and read their email.

@homedecor1

The same happened to us.  Our sons really encouraged us to get iphones.

We use them for everything and love using them.  I too am planning on

getting the iphone 7 in a few months.  One daughter-in-law has one and

I am impressed.  The photos are better as well.

Re: How Much Do You Use Your Cell?

I am not one who likes to talk on the phone, so I use my cell for texting.  I also use the calendar feature and the memo feature--both on a daily basis.  Depending on where I am at, I may use my Kindle app and bring up the book that I am currently reading, but I don't think that I have ever ordered anything from my phone.  When I travel, I use the alarm clock if I have a very early morning, and I will take pictures of my travel documents.  I do use the camera feature more than I thought that I would as I take pics of my pets, coupon codes, and anything that I think that I might need while I am out and about.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: How Much Do You Use Your Cell?

I use it constantly throughout the day, for the reasons already mentioned.

its kind of funny when I'm around some friends (usually older ladies) who have cell phones but rarely even bother to turn them on....they are more than happy when I pull out my phone to google info or to find an address.  They could be doing that, too!

I don't go far without it. I have had a cell phone for years. Hurricane Sandy let me know I needed a smartphone.
