No real tree for me.
They make me sneeze
My cats would be waaay too tempted to climb it. They have no interest in my artificial tree
My climate is too dry. I like to put my tree up the day after Thanksgiving. A real one would never make it to XMas.
I find it wasteful to cut down a real tree to use for just a few days/weeks

Here, they are constantly having "controlled burns" for the health of the forests. That "save a tree" business is just said by somebody who doesn't know what she's talking about.I would NEVER cut down a live tree for the silly custom of Christmas. Ridiculous! I bought a live tree, back before I knew better, the first year I was married 35 years ago. Never again. I'm a tree lover. Safe a tree, buy artificial.

I used to pay $50 at tree farms in California. Here you pay $6 for a permit & cut your own. The forest needs to be thinned & they only allow so many. It's a fun, family time.
