Re: How Much Do Real Christmas Trees Cost in Your Area?

I usually pay $100-110.00 for a seven-eight foot tree, but a tree this size elsewhere would cost more.

Don't know. They doesn't seem to be Christmas tree lots here in my area. Most fresh cut trees are at Home Depots and the like. There were some supermarkets that would sell a few out front but that has also dwindled.

As the environmental laws are so restrictive, most folks have artificial trees now. Also, the Los Angeles area and surrounds is hugely populated by immigrants who don't celebrate the holiday with a tree.

Re: How Much Do Real Christmas Trees Cost in Your Area?

We have a tree farm just up the road from us. Every time we drive by it my husband says..."won't be long now"...even if it is spring, lol. A tree about 7 feet is $60 or $70. We always went to a cut your own tree farm when our son was young but now we have a lovely Martha Stewart 7 foot prelit tree that is easier and still looks really real. I have allergies so don't really miss the real trees too much Smiley Wink

Re: How Much Do Real Christmas Trees Cost in Your Area?

I havent bought a real tree in about ten years, but the last one I bought was around 7 ft...and cost $125. After that, I decided to go to artificials. I bought a fake one that cost about $300, lights and all. It lasted nine years. Last year, I bought another fake one for just a bit more than what I paid for the previous one. If a fake one can give me at least 4-5 years of use....I'm happy with that.

Here in my area of PA, that's about right. Maybe a little less.

Re: How Much Do Real Christmas Trees Cost in Your Area?

We resisted the urge to get an artificial tree until just last year. I did miss having a live tree, but liked the convenience of the artificial one. We used to pay around $75.00 for a 7ft tree.
