Re: How Many "QVC RUINED My Christmas!" Threads Will There Be?

I feel sorry for the people who don't know QVC's promises for Christmas deliveries are empty ones. Perhaps those young or new shoppers QVC seems to always be courting.

She's working in the QVC warehouse to make sure packages are shipped timely, so that folks Christmas is not ruined.

@NYC Susan oh the hosts are definitely making the "guaranteed by Christmas" promise on every show. In fact QVC even has a QR code at the bottom of the screen they keep encouraging shoppers to scan with their smart phones to get a list of items that are guaranteed to arrive before December 25th. This along with a link on their homepage of items arriving before Christmas.

The Affinity Diamond Ring TSV will arrive by 12/25, the Tarte TSV will arrive by 12/25, the Apple iPad TSV will arrive by 12/25.  These TSVs haven't aired yet, but are available now.

I'm not one of them as I didn't order anything from QVC for Christmas this year, knowing full well of the shipping issues. I did order a couple of gifts from ShopHQ and both arrived within a week. I know they have their problems too but for me delivery wasn't one of them.

I'm sorry to hear this.  As I said, I don't watch anymore, and I was really hoping they had dialed that back.  It's not fair to scream about that guarantee from the rooftops knowing that it's an empty promise.  They know full well that a lot of customers will be disappointed, but they don't care because ultimately they cannot be held responsible.

I posted this in another thread.

If one is ordering in the Midwest, a 25th delivery date is very possible.

I'm not a meteorologist, but a quick look at weather is indicative

of shipping/delivery dates/times.

Appears there is a sloooooow-moving front on the east coast.

It's that time of year again, folks!

Soon the boards will be filled with threads claiming that Christmas was ruined because a package did not arrive in time.

It's a yearly tradition to have these threads, so place your bets now!

My guess?

30.

What's your guess?

So far I've seen at least 3 threads complaining about Changing delivery dates, so I'll have to guess it will be  more than 30. Put me down for 45.

Yes!  And I was always surprised at how many posters do this on Christmas Day, or the very next day!

Yes!!  Some people have everything down Christmas night!!

@faeriemoon @september , I'm one of those people.  Well, not Christmas night but I am an early taker downer.  I'm always on vacation from x-mas eve until the day after new year's and I cannot stand to go back to work with my decorations still up and I don't want to waste my last day off taking everything down.

@Lipstickdiva - I'm one of those people too. But not this year. I didn't put anything out so nothing to undecorate.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
