Re: How Many of You Own a KEURIG?

I have the mini, and enjoy the convenience. I like flavored coffee, DH likes regular. I don't miss the days of cleaning up the messy, oily grinds, when making coffee the "old fashioned"way in my retro Farberware coffee pot.

Hi, Happy - was wondering what you use to make coffee? Do you use a French press?

No Keurig at our house.

I'm a tea drinker so I have a programmable kettle. My husband uses a grind/brew coffeemaker.

I agree with you I had 3 ALL 3 died after 1 1/2 years or 2 years. I did everything correct, water filter, filter water, and descaled it with White vinegar. To me the coffee is not good in these machine they are weak and watery. I tried different sizes and brew settings, and coffee strength and it's still not good. Went back to a Regular coffee maker Hamilition and Beach, coffee taste better and it's cheaper than the K-cups. Never again! And I got all 3 from the Q. And yes I am a coffee snob! lol

Your post does not make sense.  If you had 3 makers and they lasted the minimum time that you stated, you used a Keurig for 4 1/2 years.  Then you state the coffee is not good and is weak and watery.  Why would you drink weak and watery coffee for 4 1/2 years?  Why would you have bothered getting a 2nd or 3rd coffee maker?

It just doesn't make sense to me at all.

Re: How Many of You Own a KEURIG?

I love my Keurig.  I also had one Platinum from QVC quit in a year or so.  Keurig replaced it for me totally free.  I've been using this one for a long time.  Time gets away from me, so I'm not sure how long but at least 2 years maybe 3?

I love the convenience and I love the flavored coffees.  I drink mine black so I don't need strong coffee.  Of course, you can buy strong brews but I like the lighter brews.

I do not like the gadget you put your own coffee in.  Yuck.  I never figured out how to make the coffee not taste like water.  I tried different measurements and different grinds.  It was a little messy.  No thanks.

I've had my Keurig for over 3 years and am very pleased with it. I have a cup of coffee every morning and it so easy and convenient. The flavored coffees are quite good. Much cheaper than going out for coffee.

i own one and it is now pretty much used only as a hot water dispenser......i dont care for the taste of the coffee that comes out of there......it is never strong enough for me. it tastes like brown water.

I've had two Keurigs.  The first one was a regular sized (a long time ago), and the second one was the mini.  Both quit working fairly quickly.  Now I have an iCoffee and love it.  I've had no problems so far.  I use San Francisco Bay coffee pods, which I buy from the Rogers Family Coffee website.  They are 97% biodegradable.  The coffee is very good.  I buy the French Roast.  I have one or two cups of coffee a day.  After my experience with the Keurig brand brewers, I would never buy another one.
