My late MIL was 17 years older. Looking back, we got along very well.

Interesting that you should ask
For the last two years, it feels imperative to me to try and re-create the difference in ages and stages between those in our family --- especially my mother and DD.
I think somehow I feel I can re-capture their world by comparing it to mine. Somewhat silly, maybe, but also enlightening.
