me too gidget! I'm about 5.5 to max of 6.5--sometimes less. I never get more than 6.5 and I wake up multiple times during the night.

I don't need a whole lot of sleep anyway, but I hate being up at 3 a.m. sometimes. uggggh

About 7 1/2 to 8 hours usually. I have noticed in the past year that I wake up a LOT more during the night than I ever have before. Sometimes it is hard to get back to sleep. I am 51 1/2 so I guess it could be perimenopause.

Re: How Many Hours Of Sleep Do You Get In A Typical Night ?

I need a good 8 hours sleep to really be at my best....I can get by with 5 or 6...but only for a few nights and then I start to feel it...I have relaxation tapes...sleep tapes...that are really helpful when I find my mind not wanting to shut off...also watch what I eat or drink....definitely no caffeine or sugar...so I do all I can naturally to make sure that I get a good night's sleep...Believe me when I say that it is the best for, not only me, but for all around me! {#emotions_dlg.sleep} {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Off and on 3 to 4. The other night, though, I slept probably 5 hours straight. I think it was because I locked the cat in the bathroom. I wish I could sleep even 4 hours straight. I felt so good all day.

Yes it could. I suffered through sleeplessness in my early to mid fifties also. So glad those days (and nights) are over. Hope the quality of your sleep improves.

I sleep 6 to 8 hours, depending on my activity during the day.
