Re: How Many Have Had Their Valentine's Day Spoiled?

If you're with the one you love, Valentines day can't be ruined. You don't need over priced dinners and crowded restaurants. Exchanging cards and and your favorite pizza is all you need.

We were planning a nice dinner with friends at a local restaurant tonight. However, with all the snow we had to cancel and will reschedule hopefully for next week. Have 9" of snow now with more to come.

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your plans. We have reservations to go out with another couple tomorrow; just not sure if we'll be able to get out of our driveway, let alone out of our neighborhood which still hasn't been plowed yet.

I know it's winter, but we don't usually get this much; most people around here are pretty tired of it LOL.

Only if I owned a flower shop or a restaurant might my day be ruined. Otherwise, no big deal as far as I care.

The snow may not be able your Valentine's Day, but it can ruin plans for some people. Especially if one or both have to go to work or are out of town and can't get home.

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to all {#emotions_dlg.tt1}

A pregnant woman was mowed down by a snow plow today and killed here in Brooklyn and her baby was delivered by C section and is in critical condition. I can't even imagine what her family is going through. The rest of us will make the best of Valentine's Day, regardless of the weather.

OMGoodness Opurrra! That is horrible! {#emotions_dlg.crying} That poor baby and the family. I just cannot imagine what they are going through. My profound sympathy to the family and to all who knew and loved this woman. This really puts things like... Valentine's Day in prospective. Who cares if plans are spoiled?? People need to get over it and count their blessings no matter how much snow, ice, whatever they're receiving. I pray God will be with this woman's family, and especially that sweet newborn baby.

You can celebrate Valentine's Day any time.....it is not the date....it is the feeling of caring and loving people in your life. People should celebrate love more than just on a certain day.

Thanks Heiress. It certainly puts things in perspective for sure. The poor woman was with her husband loading groceries in the trunk of her car. A snow plow belonging to the grocery store ran her over. Obviously he didn't see her but a witness claims he had been driving the plow erratically yesterday. The baby is in critical condition. It's beyond tragic.

Re: How Many Have Had Their Valentine's Day Spoiled?

Well, the weather didn't destroy my Valentines Day, but it made us cancel our plans for a long weekend getaway at the Jersey shore. I guess we'll do the best we can right here, and be grateful for what we have. As long as we're together, it doesn't matter where we are.

Okay I lied...it does matter just a little but I believe we're always where we're supposed to be.

I hope you all have a loving Valentines Day with your most favorite people {#emotions_dlg.tt1}
