Hi, Wink!

I started posting and reading on the day of my "registered" date. Didn't even know the community existed, and I was watching a pre-July 4th cooking show.

David V. was asking people to answer his question of the day, so I found the forums and registered. I had a different nic at first (had to think of something fast, so I picked something like computergirl), then soon after that changed it in this same account to the current one. (It's a silly nic but it's associated with warm memories of a song that made my late father laugh).

Some of my earliest memories are those of trying to decipher exactly who "Nurse Recruiter" was and dodging the claims that I was someone called "Mothman" (yikes! that movie scared the stuffins out of me!)

I've been here since the Shop Talk days, but my nic was bearcollector. Then I had a major life change and changed it to HisElk. They used to have a chat room that people could 'talk' in real time and it was fun.
