@Sooner I've know him for 45 years the reason they don't want to is because neither one is high on ambition. They would have to get out of their recliners.

If my husband wanted to talk to one of his brothers, especially in nice weather, he got up off his azz and went to visit. They would sit outside for a couple hours and visit. It wasn't unusual for one of them come here to chat either.

i don't like talking on the phone and most everybody knows that. when they call (because i certainly do not pick up the phone and call them LOL) me, they call for a reason and it's usually a short conversation. three exceptions: 1) my sister lives in another state and we only talk once every few months, but we talk for a while when we do talk, 2) my daughter calls several times a week for me to face time with mt 2 year old granddaughter. i will hang with her for a LONG time LOL and 3) my bff recently moved to another town and has been on lock down in an independent living facility. we talk at least once a week and usually for an hour or so. i miss her so much.

I talk on the phone longer now than I used to when I had a social life - before Covid.

I have a friend who says texting is for people you do not want to talk to.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 I give the old boys credit for getting along. Beyond that, they get no demerits from me! It's not important whether the visit in person or on the phone is it?

my forever friend which we call each other, been best friends since we were kids can talk for 6 yo 7 hrs easily , sometimes even 8 , but then one of us usually falls asleep 😴 We laugh and laugh to the point of our faces and stomachshurt lol!!! We live in the same state but 4 hours away . Our husbands think we are crazy and can't understand how we can possibly talk that long and what on earth do we talk about 😂 We have a long history we know where all the bodies are buried so to,speak , not literally of course. She knows all my deep dark secrets and I know hers. We never run out of things to say. for most others I usually only speak between 20 minutes to a hour and a half.

Never been a phone person....not as a teen....not now. I actually hate the phone....hate it when it rings.

I hate talking on the phone and do it as little as possible. Text and email are my second and third options, after face-to-face.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Only person I can stay on long conversations

are my cousins why??? because being Italian we all talk at once!!! In between the laughs (and cries sometimes) it could be hours🙄😉🤷‍♀️

And only other person is my best friend of 47 years!!!

Other than this not very long!!

I use my landline for my marathon calls. My sister lives out of state and we talk for hours. Ever since I can remember I have had marathon phone calls with friends. Since I cannot socialize as I did because of the virus, I don't mind at all having long talks with all the people I am close to and love!
