I'd go nuts talking on the phone every day for hours. I have a friend I talk to a few times a year since she lives a few hours away. We just talked last week. After about 40 minutes, I'll usually say "well, I'd better let you go".

20 - 30 minutes at most. No matter who I'm talking to, I get antsy after that amount of time.

I talk or Facetime with my daughter an hour a day; usually spread out over two calls.
I'm on the phone a lot during the work day since I am still working from home. That pretty much kills the desire for long conversations with most people for me.
My Dad has a ten minute rule. He believes any phone conversation should only take ten minutes and then it is time to move on. He will tell you so too ![]()

About 20 minutes is good for me.
Now if it's romantic call.....those can be as long as they like lol!

I spent too many hours a day on the phone when I worked that when I retired I avoid it at all costs.
I'm good for 15 miinutes and after that I'm ready to hang up. Maybe it is hereditary because neither of my kids are big on long phone conversations.

My best friend lives in NC. , and I live in NY. We talk on the phone about every other day and never run out of things to chat about. No one makes me laugh like her.

I only use my phone when I need to do something. I only contact people for the same reason. You don't need an hour in order to plan something/order something/find out how a family member or friend is doing. etc. The less chit chat the better. I always come straight to the point. Husband is the same way. We call each other when we need to.

He and his brother live 20 minutes away from each other. My sister said all they do is talk politics and complain about stuff. I asked why he and the brother just don't go somewhere for lunch or my BIL go to his brothers house. He is single and lives alone. She said she has no idea.
I hate talking on the phone just to chitchat.
Can you do marathon phone sessions?
@CrazyKittyLvr2 I know why they don't go somewhere to talk! Because they don't want to. Lots of reasons for that.
