I rarely order from Amazon but my recent one small item has been delayed a couple of times. Tracking said it should have been delivered yesterday, now it says I should get it today but it is 9:20 and no package. Actually it is still in another state close to me. How late do they deliver? I'm in no rush, but still.

Delivery Information
Deliveries can occur between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time. To avoid disturbing you, delivery drivers may knock on the door, ring the doorbell, or directly contact you for delivery only between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:00 pm local time, unless your delivery is scheduled or requires a signature. For those deliveries, drivers may place a call or text to the phone number you provided for your order. They should not attempt to deliver the package outside 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. unless they are able to reach you.
If no one is at the address when delivery is attempted, your delivery driver will leave the package in a secure location. If no secure location is available, or the delivery requires someone to be present, Amazon will send an e-mail to the e-mail address on file. You can select a date for redelivery by clicking on the Track Package button beside the relevant order, in Your Orders. If your order is eligible for redelivery, you’ll be able to click the Request reschedule link. Three delivery attempts on consecutive days will be made. If the third delivery attempt is unsuccessful your package will be returned to Amazon for a refund.
You can redirect eligible shipments to an Amazon Hub Locker using your Amazon Shopping App. Go to Your Orders, select your order, then choose Send to a nearby pickup point. This option is only available before your package arrives at the delivery station. Once it has been delivered to a pick-up point, it can’t be redirected again.

@Biftu. Amazon has their own fleet of delivery vehicles but many small items are delivered by USPS, especially if you bought from a third party seller. They may not be working tomorrow.

l look at the tracking , it will say if it's really near your house , as " it is 4 stops away " or such . l am amazed at how fast stuff comes , order in the evening and it's here the next afternoon ! ln most cases .

@judianne Guess you've been lucky. I ordered my item on August 25th and it's been one delay after another. Just checked status and it says Running Late. That's ten days! And since tomorrow is a holiday the wait will probably continue.
