@ID2 You are very blessed.  We know one family last year who lost a mom to covid after a holiday dinner.  It wasn't nonsense to them.

@Iwantcoffee I hope you have time to get together and have a wonderful Thanksgiving which you so deserve.  I hope you can enjoy the memories and honor them and have a joyful time together with lots of good food and good cheer!

Perhaps it might be kinder not to dismiss the pain and suffering of millions of people who lost loved ones or suffered themselves as nonsense. You and yours have been blessed not to suffer during this time. It might be time to have some gratitude for that blessing that so many others did not benefit from.

@ID2 - I know you've said before that you always post and never come back and read responses.

However, just in case....

4 people I knew died from Covid, original Covid.  To them, and their grieving families, and the families grieving for the over 1M Americans who died from this illness, it wasn't "nonsense" to them. Maybe find some grace, ok?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Sooner

Much different. Mainly for me dealing with serious health issues. Primarily with my twice damaged heart, and again with my Pulmonary System. Very limited on my ability to do even every day physical activities.

Optimistic as always, but the same with my being a Realist.

Our life has not changed at all - we barely stopped during the panedemic (stopped only if something was closed).  We have taken short trips, continued to eat out, went to church.  We never had a busy life, but what we did have did not change.

@wagirl - Please accept my wishes for better days ahead. Your message was heartbreaking. You are not being punished—there are things that happen to people that I cannot understand. Take care and the best to you and your daughter. LadyAlice

Re: How Is Your Life Different Since Thanksgiving 2019?

We don't go out to eat as much as we used to.  We get meals and groceries delivered more often.  We still get together for holidays with family.   I host Christmas and in 2020 and 2021 it was only my immediate family and SIL and BIL.   Typically my aunt and her daughter join us but my aunt's husband was a transplant recipient so my aunt and her family were playing it safe in 2020 and in 2021 her husband was in the hospital with Covid,  He died the day after Christmas.
