In another post about the 60 minutes guy being exposed for an affair, it mentions his texts being 'steamy' of sort. How is it possible to uncover those things? I mean did he just voluntarily give his phone to someone who would expose him and his texts or is there another method?

Maybe the girlfriend figured those texts would be worth big bucks some day-so she kept them and sold them to the highest bidder, when he decided to dump her.

I guess that would be one way but then she would be mud and that wouldn't be such fun.

Any other ideas?

The norm in these cases: One of the parties in texts between 2 people gives copies of the texts to someone else (a friend, or more often their attorney). Then, they're used as a threat or they're actually made public.

couple options.............the gal made them public in an attempt to drive the wife out of the marriage........or..........the Monica game............she sent to texts to a friend, not expecting her to give up the texts, and the friend did it..........or the wife found them on his phone, forwarded the string to her phone and she nailed him..................................raven

From what I read she broke it off with him because he was getting needy. Maybe either her spouse or lawyer got a hold of it.

All those possibilities make sense.

She knew what she was when she started the affair. I don't think her reputation would be a big concern for her.

Good point, raven. In addition to my ideas, there's always the possibility of a 3rd person (usually a SO) getting physical access to the phone and seeing the texts.
As always, if you don't want anyone to see it, don't write it... and if you don't want anyone to know about it, don't do it.
