One thing that helps us, for the dog, is that we have a tile floored entryway.  He spends lots of time lying on the tile!  It probably stays cooler than any other type flooring in the house.

 

He's kind of like me.  Except for his little daily puppy-tanning sessions (about 20 minutes a day), he doesn't seem to really revel in the heat at all.

I'd like to give my golden retriever a "summer cut". But there's a cold front moving in tomorrow night and temps will dip down to the 50s and she would not like it without her coat.Woman LOL We're doomed either way.
