If it's not mine, it doesn't belong to me. The man did what was right and yes, that was very nice that the jewelry owner rewarded him.

I thought of the movie No Country for Old Men. Remember the drug money Josh Brolin found and then stole. I think those bracelets were an inside job and quite likely someone would have ended up where they were mailed. Very unpleasant for the recipients.
On a personal note I would have called as well and returned them. Very strange.

I am not perfect, and I stole 10 cents from the church sanctuary when I was around 6 six years old. I paid it back and then some, but I still feel guilty and have tried to forgive myself, but just can't see my way past it.
That was the first and last time I took something that didn't belong to me. The guilt has been tremendous.
I would return the bracelets immediately.

Sounds like a made up story. What employee would do this, unless it's for revenge.

@CarmieVirtue is it's own reward. I don't think a 6 year old is a hardened thief. I will confess to you, in kindergarten ,I took a wooden yellow bead, and I felt so guilty I showed it to my neighbor, who kindly told me, to take it back to school ,the next day ,and I would feel better
I did take it back, but I never forgot what I did, and even now ,my face is red, so much for feeling better. We are just 2 crooks together ,I guess..
