I consider cold pizza to be a completely different food. And I love it for lunch.

Fun topic!
Depends on how messy and how many toppings. Lots of toppings maybe a fork. Don't usually fold it.
Dog loves the crust. When my BF was hospitalized over the summer, I would buy one pizza for me and one for the dog. I was tired and it was just easier.

@Sage04 when my sister was around twelve or so, she was wondering about the hot pepper flakes, she never had them. Anyway she puts it on her pizza, takes a bite, it was so hot she dropped the pizza on the floor. The counter guy must have felt sorry for her, he gave her another slice for free.

@Jordan2 Jersey girl here. When eating NY style pizza I fold. Don't want all the oil getting away. When I moved to CA and found a place that made pizza the right way I folded. Otherwise I pick it up and eat. Texas now and same applies. NEVER has a knife or fork ever touched my pizza. When we used to have football parties with friends it never occurred to any of us to have knives and forks available. That went for CA and TX too. I have found I enjoy Detroit style now and the with the thick crust once in awhile.
I also eat pizza cold for breakfast or lunch or whenever.
Threads like this are fun, like NY bagels vs everyplace else, Pat's vs Geno's Phillie cheese steaks, IN and Out Burgers vs everyone else. Every region has it's pride!

Northeasterner here...I just pick it up, and if the tip is flopping, I support that with my other hand, as I take my first bite. I get the folding...it kinda stops it from flopping around, but I just don't like it that way...I guess I feel it ruins the integrity of the topping? Mushes it all together.
Anyhoo...whatever works for ya. 🍕

@mspatmac please don't start with the bagels. Oh my goodness. Hot from the oven. We would buy some for home and some to eat on the way home. They would butter them for us and they were out of this world. Nothing here in Georgia comes close.

All this talk of square Chicago pizza - you're making me miss home and good pizza lol.
It depends on how messy it is and how wimpy the crust is. I would prefer not to fold, but if I must, it's not a total fold in half. I just give it a little crease at the crust.

SW suburban Chicago
All I know is pizza cut in squares. We all go for the corner pieces first (looks like a triangle)

If the crust is very thin and hangs down floppy-like when the slice is picked up, it must be folded over its self to eat it or everything slides off.
A medium or thick crust can just be picked up and eaten pointy end first unless there are many toppings that slide off, then it has to be folded to keep the toppings on. This usually happens if the pizza is too hot right out of the oven..once cooled a bit, no folding is necessary.
