Happened to me many years ago.  I received some sterling silver jewelry and I have never worn sterling.

 

Called CS, and they said to mail it back.  I asked to send me a return label and was told I would have to pay for it.  (NOT!)

 

I got it straightend out, and just thought the CS representative didn't know what they were doing.

 

Never happened again, but don't order much anymore.
