Nick Nack, don't give up and don't be afraid to lose your current sig. You entered your sig before and if you lose it you can put it back. Look at dooBdoo's instructions again carefully until you are sure you understand it and give it that old college try. In Churchill's words, You have nothing to fear but fear itself. ![]()

I forgot to add... @NickNack, To be sure you know how your existing siggy is entered, just select and highlight and copy it the way you normally select and copy text. Then, paste it somewhere, like an email draft or in a text or notepad area on your device. That way you have it safe to reuse if you want to. Then, you can try some edits and saves. And if those aren't working, copy what you've entered and paste it here so one of us can try to help you locate and resolve the problem.

I'd like to place a small, one line quotation under all of my replies. I recently (a couple of weeks ago or so) followed someone's wonderful directions, but there wasn't any place to write in/install a personal quotation of mine. Any other suggestions? p.s. I don't know what 'cut and paste' means, so is there another way?

@ROMARY, I posted pix of the instructions to find the signature settings.
You don't have to cut and paste anything. And you don't need to use the HTML code unless you want to add some fancy footwork.
Just navigate there, type in your siggy, and be sure to save it.
Here's a repeat:
Under "My Settings," then under "Personal" click/tap the sub-category "Personal Information."
Be sure to click/tap "SAVE" after making your changes.

Oh, DooBDoo! I hadn't realized that 'Signature' meant our own personal quote! Well, thank you!! I appreciate your kindness! ![]()

@dooBdoo Thank you so much @dooBdoo. I've copied and pasted it here. This is what I was doing, and the second quote isn't showing up. I assumed that the <br><br> meant two returns as that's what I did when I was typing it.
<font color="blue"><em>My little dog, a heartbeat at my feet.<br>Edith Wharton</em></font><br><br><font color="blue"><em>I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little they become its visible soul.<br>—Jean Cocteau (director, Orpheus)</em></font>
I want it to be in blue in italics and read:
My little dog, a heartbeat at my feet.
Edith Wharton
I love cats because I enjoy my home, and little by little they become its visible soul.
Jean Cocteau (director, Orpheus)

Hi, @NickNack! Your code is perfect!
I think I see the problem. If our signature is long, the display will cut off the last part of it. Even adding several returns at the end doesn't seem to help much... also, I've noticed some devices don't display long signatures well.
If you don't mind compressing the siggy a wee bit, you could try this (you only need to add the color and italic format info at the beginning, one time, and it will apply to the entire signature):
<font color="blue"><em>My little dog, a heartbeat at my feet. —Edith Wharton<br>I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little they become its visible soul.—Jean Cocteau (director, Orpheus)<br><br><br><br><br></em></font>
If you do that, it should appear this way and the entire signature probably will show up for most readers:
My little dog, a heartbeat at my feet. —Edith Wharton
I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little they become its visible soul.—Jean Cocteau (director, Orpheus)

Thank you @dooBdoo! Hopefully it will work now.

It works! Thank you very much!
