How Did Others on East Coast Fair Out

So Isaias came through this morning on the Eastern Shore of MD as a tropical storm and took a bite. While no injuries in my immediate area, the coastal regions had quite a lot of damage. Roofs torn off condos with folks inside. So scary.  We lost 4 trees in our yard and we are 20 miles from the coast. It was rocking amd rolling this morning. Neighborhood littered with downed trees and debris. Sun is out now but its still windy. Hoping fellow east coasters are ok.

I'm right outside of NYC in Nassau County.  We had some rain this morning, but the wind is fierce.  Hope we don't lose power.  Stay safe all those on the East Coast.

I had a doctor appointment about 15 miles away from me this morning.  I am in SE PA. It was dark, and cloudy, with several areas flooded, emergency vehicles and detours all around, and a general mess. Now at 1:15, the sky is brighter. Although it still is rainy and windy, perhaps the worst part of the storm has passed.

Sorry this storm hit your area hard.  I live in southeastern MA and it hasn't hit us yet.  I hate waiting for storms.  We lost multiple trees during the last bad storm and still have a few I'm a little worried about.  Luckily we never have a problem with flooding.  Looks like the storm is supposed to hit here early evening.  Hopefully it won't be too bad.

I don't know how people that live in areas that get a lot of hurricanes or tornados deal with it.  I'll take a blizzard any day over those.

I'm in Manhattan - just got text msg from management office that some branches are down on property - to use caution when we go out.

Saw Twitter that Verrazzano Bridge is closed both levels and there's a power outage on Staten Island.

My sister lives in Western Philly suburbs.  I was talking to her on the phone about 1 1/2 hrs ago.  It was raining so hard, I could hear it.  After we hung up, she said the rain let up and wind started blowing hard.

In SE VA we have lost our power due to the high winds and trees down.  Some tornadoes struck in our area as well.

@Kachina624

The torrential rain and wind gusts have been alternating most of the day.  At 2:00....gray clouds and strong winds.  My front and back yards look as though a war has gone on !!!

@jlkz    Sounds as though you'll have your work cut out for you after the mess moves out.
