Unless it is something I know somebody wants, I would never get a gift that someone has to display, water, find a place for or store.  I wouldn't buy something that is aimed at display.

There are nice food items, olive oils, fancy salts, napkins, kitchen linens, wine, something edible--pasta basket etc.  Anything that is usable or consumable.  Anything that can be used up and enjoyed without having to provide a "forever" home for it.

Since you know them fairly well, how about a gift certificate to a restaurant. It sounds like you know them good enough to know what kind of restaurant they would enjoy. A couple of hours away from unpacking boxes to relax with a nice dinner.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I bought three ( red, blue, and purple) with free shipping on Monday.  They will be great, filled with special candies, for some neighbors.

Nice! It sounds like you got a collection of pretty little jewels and your neighbors will be thrilled!Woman Happy
