@ahoymate Exactly...in my area $1.5 would buy you a 3 bd/2 ba/1500 sq ft home.
@LuvSoCal Same with my area too, sadly.....good for selling bad for buying!
@lgfan I love that idea of a Home Sweet home print for a house warming gift!
@ValuSkr Also, who wouldn't like a flameless candle?
I think anything even a card, as was said before, would be good.
I know there has been much discussion but I wouldn't spend a lot because chances are it won't work in their home or be to their taste so there is a big chance it won't be used, as others have said as well.
I know I'm super picky and very thoughtful about what I choose to have around because I hate clutter.
I know some people have talked about Barefoot Dream throws but I have no desire for one of those. I much perfer a big fluffy throw that I can luxuriate in and find the barefoot dreams ones too lackluster and small/thin and not that decorative and if I received one I'd feel bad not to use it because it cost so much but then again some love them!
It would still be appreciated ....just a bigger drain on your wallet.
It's just so individual.....So to spend a lot is not something I'd do.
I love the more simple, reasonably priced and thoughtful gifts...ones that I don't feel bad about stuffing in a closet or tossing if I don't like personally.....

Thanks for the suggestion. I bought three ( red, blue, and purple) with free shipping on Monday. They will be great, filled with special candies, for some neighbors.

@Biftu How about some new, fresh kitchen linens? Kitchen towels, pot holders, placemats and cloth napkins come to mind. I don't care how much a home costs, to me these are things that anyone can use.

I was going to suggest a houseplant as well.

Crate N Barrel and Pottery Barn both have some beautiful things for a housewarming...
1.5 Million here where I live would buy you a mini-mansion. You would have a beautiful large home for that amount of money here.
