My first thought when I read this was that I don't even know the cousins of 90% of my friends so is this person a friend as well or is this a business related obligation?  Since these folks obviously don't need anything and can afford to buy anything they want/need, I think what another person here suggested is appropriate and that would be to send a nice floral arrangement.  It goes with everything and fulfills any obligation you might feel you need to address.  Just my opinion.

I would consider them friends although only see them maybe twice a year but we talk on the phone occasionally.

Based on what you've told us so far they are apparently well off financially, vegetarians, are of Eastern Indian descent, they don't drink, she is a good cook, and you know them well enough as you've stayed at each others homes from time to time. The options are kind of limited.  This is a tough one.  Maybe a variety gift box of Indian cooking spices or an edible floral arrangment?  I just googled "Indian Housewarming Gifts on Etsy" and there was a ton of stuff to look at.  Maybe something there might spark an idea for you. Please let us know what you finally decided on getting. 🌹

What about a nice Slatkin diffuser and candle set? That probably would be a nice housewarming gift.

I've always bought a plant/tree for  their yard or garden. It's always been appreciated and often I've been thanked through the years. I bought a beautiful Rhododendron for a dear friends new doctors office.
You can find beautiful plants this time of year.

No decor. If they are downsizing they probably need very little. Flowers as a gesture of good luck in their new home.

Please read my post for a suggestion, something I've done for over thirty years, no need to raise your price pint.

My friend's cousin is moving into a lovely new house and I am at a loss for a housewarming gift.  They have everything and are moving into a $1.5 million dollar home.  What to get people who have everything is challenging while trying to keep the cost to a max of $50.

No interest in buying them food or gift cards.  I know everyone has throws but thinking of that idea.  Maybe a lantern.  I have no ideas do you?

rethink the gift card, don't waste your money on something u think might work with their decor

IMO, if someone can afford a $1.5M house, a $50 or less housewarming gift would be unimpressive.  Kind and thoughtful, but unimpressive.  In a house of that caliber, they will have decor to match.  And, again, likely won't need any help decorating.  Plus, that's such a personal taste thing anyway.

I'd wait until they're moved in and then send a nice floral arrangement with a hand written card congratulating them on their new home.

depends on where that 1.5 million $ house is
