Calm tone in your voice helps too. Later on but not during feeding, you will move on to handling paws, looking into ears and mouth to get her used to handling in adulthood. Your vet and boarding kennels etc will appreciate her willingness to please and accept handling. Think about it as pre training for clipping her nails etc. We always played pass the puppy so strangers handle the pups for the same reason as above.
Thanks! I am going to try the things you mentioned. I do take her to the office and a lot of people like to make a fuss over her which is good because when we are home it's just my me and my husband, hopefully that will help socialize her.....

Almost all professional trainers will tell you to use a crate.

We do use a crate and no she is not peeing in the same spot...I am now taking her out on a leash and once she goes if it is in the afternoon or early evening and she wants to play I take the leash off and she can play. Today she had no accidents in the house, which is a good thing!! I need to buy the Nature's Miracle for any more accidents and I wonder if I could put some in the carpet cleaner as I am going to clean the carpets next week.

I don't envy you. All dogs are different. Some easier than others. I had a Pomeranian who died at 11 that was never really trained. He drove me crazy. I another pom that is totally trained and another who is 80%. I used a crate with the first pom that died and he would pee and lay in it or pee through the crate. That did not work for him. Then I tethered him to me and that worked better because I could catch him in the act. Good luck with it. I agree that you cannot let them wander through the house at will. Good luck. I think sometimes the only hope is tile floors because they love to pee on carpet and rugs.
