Hey FG - if you size the photo down some it will have the proper proportions.  Now, so that huge pics don't kill the page, they will smoosh the pic in if it's too large.  If you reduce it, you'll get the right look.

I think she copied and pasted the image from another website, which is fast and easy, especially for people who don't have a lot of image editing skills. To resize, she would have to save to her computer, resize in a photo editor, then upload herself. (Or just upload herself, which seems to resize correctly on its own.) I think that the majority of the users don't go through all that, they just copy and paste.
