Another humid day!  Stay hydrated!  Our washer broke and with a bed & breakfast that's bad!   Spent afternoon in a hot laundromat.

Have a great day!

OMG!  That does sound bad.  What will you do?  Is there a laundry nearby?

i always thought it would be a great idea to attach a large upscale bar to laundromats......LOL people can do their laundry AND get a nice cool cocktail while they are waiting. STAY COOL!!! Smiley Wink

Miserably hot in Atlanta.  Then again, it is July and I am in Atlanta.  Nothing new.  Leaving for Lake Tahoe on Saturday and what a weather forecast!  high 70's, maybe 81 for a high and all the way down to 50's at night.  No Humidity!  Hello, good hair days!

Without a doubt Lake Tahoe is the most beautiful lake ever.  I think it was named the best lake in US.  The beauty is boundless.  We used to drive there (a few hours) 2 times a year.  But we stopped 10 years ago.  I am going to make it a point to go back this year.  Have you been to Truckee?

The green of Emerald Bay, and the marine blue of the main Lake are unbelievable

Have fun!!  Nights are nice and cool!

shoekitty,

Never been to Truckee.  Never been to LT before either.  My activity is being curtailed while there.  I've had a nasty run with a painful back issue.  Had a procedure last week and I am not allowed to do the three things we've had planned and love.  1) Can not white water raft, 2) no mountain biking, 3) no horseback riding.  Urgh.  Gee, any merry-go-rounds?  Okay, that was bratty.  I should be grateful I can fly out of the swamp that is Atlanta.  Any tips on other things to do?  Any short hikes you'd recommend, etc?  How about a spa?  We're staying in the north lake area.

Sorry about the back issues, I have that myself.  I am having epidural next week.  Lots to do in Tahoe.  There is a Tallac State Park there  that has a tour. There was a settlement there at one time.  Then there are the Casinos, hahaha. They have a dinner tour on a river boat.  They have  museums around there.  it is a short drive to Reno as well.  Lots of easy sight seeing.  Check this out,

You could drive to Donnor lake as well.  Most of all the sight seeing from your car on a drive is best!  There is one main road around the Lake if I remember, so hard to get lost!

ETA, wine tasting and tours! That will help the back,no?  Drive to Truckee and eat at JAX at the Tracks Diner, it is one of Guy Feiri, of Diners, Drive ins and dives favorite places.!!!, Great old mining town. Right along a river.

Bella, I had one last year.  It lasted a couple months.  Helped my hip actually.  I really need back surgery, but I am going to try another epidural for now.
