I was always under the impression that hotels gave groups a better rate. We have a reservation for a hotel and I found out that it is twenty (20) dollars higher than the ordinary rate for walk in customers. Anyone out there in the hotel industry and what should I do about it. Initially the group quota would have paid for extras, like meeting rooms and ballroom space. But I am told the group did not meet the quota.
What to do when I call or email the hotel and the group person in charge. How would you handle the situation. I want to be polite and tactful and still get my way. I would save over $60 if I were a walk in for the entire weekend.
