Hot Flashes, not happy!!

So, I'm 45 going to be 46 and just had my first MAJOR hot flash. I happened to coincide with my signing my mother into a nursing home for dementia. Does stress bring on the "change?? I have an ob/gyn appt. soon and will ask then, but was just wondering. TIA {#emotions_dlg.w00t}
