@rockygems123.  Aren't balloons exciting?  We in Albuquerque all become children once the Fiesta starts here.

@Kachina624 Yes, so exciting!  You must have so much fun with the Fiesta.   Absolutely love them and really miss the annual festival across the street at Chatfield State Park that stopped a few years ago.

This is a pic of the festival, if you see those white blocks on the left side in the background those are houses in our development, I'm 3rd from the right Smiley Happy

And PS I may try for your balloon festival, probably next year so I can plan, just found out an antique mall has reopened in your town, she shut down for a while, so looking forward to seeing her new mall.

Send some of that rain to your southern neighbor!

@just bee That is what is astounding to me, we have had the soggiest summer pretty sure on record, definitely since we moved here 25 yrs ago.

Wish we could share and send you some rain!

@rockygems123

We were promised an exuberant monsoon season but I have a feeling it'll show up later this year.

Or we'll have record snow. Woman LOL

@just bee   Forecasting is so strange, truly you'd think it'd be better at this stage of technology.

Hoping you do get the moisture before the dreaded snow lol!

I'm glad you landed before the storms.

@ValuSkr Actually it wasn't me in the balloon I was just coming back from the grocery store and the balloon was over my house.

We have them fairly often and today was beautiful with no wind.  Until the storm came ha.  Still storming, another one came in only this didn't come with a flash flood warning.

@rockygems123.  What lake is that?  Such a pretty setting.  You must be pretty far out of Denver.

@Kachina624It is Chatfield Reservoir State Park. We are up against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains but only about 20 minutes from Denver, the most southwest part of Littleton.  Only 4 of us have unobstructed direct views of the lake in our development, very grateful.  And only 2 miles from the King Sooper (Kroger's) so we have nature & civilization.
