I recall her saying she was fired, and worked hard to be rehired. Then years later, she left on her own, only to come back again. When she told the story of her first firing, I was impressed with her honesty and perseverance.

I remember her leaving once because she got POed when QVC let her husband go. She tried the jewelry business but that never got off the ground. Seems like she wasn't gone very long.

I have read she left for about a year to start a jewelry business.

The thing is she acts as though she has been there 30 years straight, with her anniversaries. No she left. She would be a new hire/re-hire IMO.
