@Leeny I remember when she left, but not the year. I remember they had a farewell party for her. I also recall her coming back some time later and saying, happily "I'm back".

When Jane left about 12 yrs ago it was rumored that she left because her husband was fired from QVC

Most of this is speculation. By and large I believe what the hosts or former hosts say instead of the rumors.

I don't recall any of those stories, but I do know she was gone for a few years. I was under the impression that she had moved to Ireland for several years. Does anyone else know anything about that?

Bingo, I think we have a winner! This is exactly what I recall happening. Jane left for about a year, then returned after they sold their big house and down sized. She said her daughters wanted her to go back to the Q, because they missed all the wonderful things her income provided.

The majority of these comments talk about her leaving but I remember her coming back because that was the first time I found QVC on cable and started watching it. I was amazed at how easily she blended back in and how much experience she had from day one. I still like her and think she is very poised and professional.

For some reason, many people on this board do not care for Jane Treacy. That's the way it has always been. I know people have mentioned that they did not care for her talking about her sister, talking about her ballet dancing, talking about family, etc. I think Jane is very close to her family, and that's the way it should be. Unfortunately, in the U.S., many people are estranged or angry at some family members. Hosts have to discuss something while that clock is ticking away. They all have their favorite extraneous topics.

I think Jane does a wonderful job of getting the information out there. She is attractive, has a bubbly personality, and must be doing a great job at sales or she would not still be there.

Overall, considering the huge viewing audience, I think the people who do not like Jane Treacy are in the minority. We all have our favorite hosts, but we all have people who do not like us also. This world would be a kinder place if people just lived and let live.

@Citrine1- If I remember correctly, she started a silver jewelry business on her own website.

Does anyone else remember that? It didn't last for very long.
