I wonder what a "main host" means.
I generally think of them as equal, peers and co-hosts ( except for the times someone is doing primarily social media.)

I think all of us DO change the channel when we are annoyed by a host's antics.....😉
If these kind of Forum threads bother you---skip em......

I loved Harry Slatkin's parting remark at the end of his segment. Ever the gentleman, he asked, "Can you two please get some energy?"
And he's not the only one....Ive heard Laura Geller, and other vendors, make remarks that the co-hosts were focused on something else (i.e. acting silly) and ignoring them (vendors were constantly interrupted) and not being given a chance to talk about their products.....

This is a consistent and old complaint but a very valid one. Hearing people interrupting, cutting off others when the host has to throw out a tiresome selling point and boy are they tiresome, the lack of manners is my reason for not watching certain hosts. It is easier for me to go on the Q site and check out items I might be interested in. I know the producers are constantly pushing the hosts to repeat and push those sales, after all it is a shopping channel/
I have been watching the Q for a very long time and I have to say very rarely has a host influenced my decision to buy no matter what their spiel.

I have to say that i sympathize with the hosts who have to carry on a conversation with invisible viewers. However, it seems now there are usually two people presenting who interact. Of those, there is only one host I will not watch regardless of what she is presenting. I find her silly, rude, self centered, and basically ridiculous. It's just easier to go online, if I have any interest in the products she is presenting. Otherwise, I commend the others on their determination and poise.

If they find it too difficult nor cant do nor dont like the job QVC always has hundreds of prospects that apply and are ready, willing, and able to take on the job challenges......And EVERY job has it challenges and if they dont like selling on a shopping channel there's plenty of careers to choose from....

I always chuckle at the occasional "Oh, the poor hosts" posts.
It's a career path that each chose freely and willingly and by appearances, the compensation seems quite robust.
It certainly requires a specialized set of skills to be successful. Some have them and some don't.

I stopped watching QVC shows long before Lisa Robertson left .... too many hosts, even back then, had this frantic "I'm dancing as fast as I can" energy.
It was painful to watch, especially when they never got around to showing the inside of the handbag or measurements or fabric content percentages.
IMO, they got WAY off track, and no one has bothered to reel them in, even a little.

Manners or no manners isn't what bothers me. It is just too irritating to hear 2 and sometimes 3(!) people trying to have the floor.
And maybe QVC should "morph into" whatever people want. And hearing people talk over each other ain't it.
