Why is Jen wearing a prom dress to show Silver Jewerly.  Silver jewelry for the most part is dressy casual to casual and does not need a prom dress to depict the jewelry.  The hosts should be wearing the type of clothing that most women would be wearing their silver jewelry

The hosts are completely capable of making their own decisions on what to wear.  And there are people that wear silver jewelry when they are desssed up.

I don't see silver jewelry as a wholely casual metal at all.  It depends on the setting and stones.  The hosts have often dressed in evening wear for jewelry shows.  Jennifer is probably obeying orders.

@Subito  This opinion of yours is not shared by all.  I, for one, patently disagree.  It all depends on the style of jewelry to determine whether it compliments a dressy outfit.

I like the hosts stepping it up with their beautiful outfits on jewelry days.

Hmm.  And all this time I've worn my silver jewelry even with my finest garb!  Never thought of it as being casual.  I'll have to ponder that thought.

Silver can worn at any time. The idea that silver can't be formal is dated, just like the idea that you can't wear white after Labor Day.

And she's wearing formal wear. It's only called a prom dress if one is wearing/intending to wear it at the prom - or when the intent is to diminish someone.

Wow!!  This one takes the cake!!   Is there nothing any host/vendor can do that won't get bashed?  Jewelry shows are usually more dressy shows and silver is not just a casual type of jewelry!!  Why would anyone equate an elegant dress to a prom dress?  It appears some just watch to run and post negative things!!!!

It's not the type of metal that determines dressy v. Casual. Its the design of the jewelry piece.

I don't wear yellow metal. I wear primarily white metal and I have pieces that are dressy and some that are casual.

Jen's dress is is perfectly fine. I don't see "prom" when I look at it.

I think what Jen chose or what the stylists chose really doesn't matter.

Someone would complain she wasn't dressed fancily ehough if she'd come on air in her jeans and a shirt or office clothes or anything else we all might wear with our jewelry.

BTW-  I think she looks good and appropriate, too.

When she first started, I think she used to dress nicely. Now it seems it's always some off the shoulder outfit.
