I can't remember the name of the Bay Area town, but one nearby is known for their search and rescue team with dogs, and they were preparing last night to leave.

NYC sent out a crew this morning to Georgia. They are going to stage there and see where they are needed and head there once things are evaluated.

I am sure many will be sent down to assist.

We actually just went under an advisory in North Georgia. Not sure why since even the advisory says little to no impact besides clouds and wind. Guess they have to do it in case Matthew changes his mind and heads further inland.
