This is a day when we honor his leadership as well as the participation of all those who so bravely sat at counters, rode the freedom buses, worked for voters rights, marched for civil rights etc.

We owe them all a great debt!

What a great man he was, as well as those who came before him in the struggle for civil rights.

I remember those times as though they were yesterday.

I look back at how young Dr. King was at the time of his death.

39 ... it's amazing how much he accomplished in just this short time ... I've often wondered whether he was afraid ... those were such violent times. I still cry for him.
