Martin Luther King, Jr., once stated:

"We must combine the toughness of the serpent and the softness of the dove - - a tough mind and a tender heart."

I mentioned this on the other thread but I find it disturbing that the day isn't even acknowledged in some states......Wisconsin being one of them. Our mail won't come today. That's about it. The local news channels don't ever bring it up unless there is something national that has to be reported on.

I think there is an observance in the valley, but here it's just a day of no school, mail, UPS delivery & banks are closed. I asked my GS's if there was any program at school & they said no.

"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?"

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

A good man. A visionary. So thankful he was courageous enough to be hated, misunderstood and brave. So happy he is honored and remembered.

"I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees." Henry David Thoreau
