I live in Colorado. There are way too many beautiful and unforgettable places that I just couldn't begin to post here. Just the name of my state says it all...they call it "Colorful Colorado" on our license plates.

 

This is just one of our city parks, 'Garden of the Gods'. The history of this place is astonishing.

@handygal2 ...Thank you for posting the picture of Montauck Point.  I am a native New Yorker and left in 1965 to live in California where my then husband had a job as an engineer. My father built a summer house on Long Island, not far from Wildwood State Park and from the age of six is where I spent every summer.   I have a picture that was taken at Montauck Point showing four families of relatives who also built their summer houses there as well, including me, my sister, mother and father.  I treasure that picture and have the most wonderful memories of life on Long Island while growing up.

Not sure @Lilysmom  but I think it's the Vulcan statue in Birmingham. If so, there is an interesting story. In fact, it has it's own Wickipedia page! But no, I'm not from Birmingham...

Yes, it's listed as Vulcan Statue in Wikipedia.
