Holy krap, the explosion in Beirut port.

I read it was a fireworks factory.  If you watch it make sure the volume is not up as far as it can go.

It was just smoke at first and went it blew I jump a foot because my sound was up.

I haven't heard anything about total injuries or deaths.

Saw a report that said at least 10 fatalities and hundreds injured.

The explosion was huge - one report said windows were shattered 6 miles away.

A  fireworks  factory?  No way.  News propaganda?
The PLA blew up their bomb factory?

Or maybe a IDF Special Forces operation?

So many hurt and so much damage: from Huffpost

“I have never in my life seen disaster this big, this grand, this catastrophic,” said Beirut’s governor, Marwan Abboud, before he broke down crying. “This is a national catastrophe. This a disaster for Lebanon. We don’t know how we’re going to recover from this. … We need to stay strong and we need to be courageous, but this, our people have been through so much.”

Lebanese Prime Minister Hassam Diab has declared Wednesday a national day of mourning.

@EatWell   There was smoke billowing, indicated a fire, before the big explosion.

I was just stating what I read and will not speculate about any other possible cause.

When the experts determine the cause then we will know.

Whoa I saw it too!

My husband was actually yelling at the TV at the people using hoses to try and put water on some still burning piles to "STAY BACK!" in case those blew up too. He said he hoped someone there had a geiger counter to make sure they weren't dealing with some type of dirty bomb. You just never know.  Woman Sad
