Holy Cow, It Is Beautiful Out!

I had to run to the bank this am.  It went into the high 20s overnight and it was chilly but there are blue skies, no breeze/wind and a ton of sunshine. It evened warmed up some in the hour I was gone.

Our local news says it is to hit 70 later this week, of course, we are further North so we will be closer to low 60s.  That's ok, I'll take it.

My daffodils are up but not out yet. Our trees are still buck nekkid but my lilacs have little buds.

It is coming, slow but sure.

Re: Holy Cow, It Is Beautiful Out!

We deserve some nice weather already. Winter has been dragging on way

too long, even though the calendar reads Spring. We had snow flurries

yesterday and freezing cold weather most of last week. Seems like we

get only a few nice weeks of Spring and then Summer is rolling around.

There saying here in Texas and other nearby states to batten down the hatches for the fourth week in a row.  High winds, rain, hail, possible tornadoes.  It really is beginning to be a weekly thing.  It does wash the pollen away though.

Not here.  I had planned to work out in the yard today.  Last night the Weatherman predicted maybe a 20% chance of a stray shower which I could deal with.  Tuesday was supposed to be cloudy and windy due to another storm system expected on Wednesday, so today was the day.  Woke up to thunder and now it's just a drizzly, wet day.  Guess I'm bringing my spring clothes down to start the closet changeout today.

I had snow caught in my grass day before yesterday.  We expect to be around 70 this week.  I'm enjoying the few flowers and the beautiful flowering trees.

Re: Holy Cow, It Is Beautiful Out!

I got so excited about my daffodils and lilacs.  I told daughter I want to my vases ready for bunches of flowers.  Love the smell of lilacs.

DD proceeded in bursting my idea.  She reminded me of our resident 4 pawed toddler.................Petunia.  She would be trying to chew on any flower in the house. I would have to hang them from the ceiling.

Looking into the forest 🌳 , there is a faint green haze, the one that says trees have leaves the size of mouse 🐭 ears now.
